Rhonda Jessum, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. 

Dr. Rhonda Jessum graduated with her Doctorate and Masters degrees from the California School of Professional Psychology, with clinical training approval by the American Psychological Association. Dr. Jessum graduated from the University of California Los Angeles with Honors from the Psy Chi International Honor Society.

She maintains her connection with UCLA and is a graduate of the UCLA Alumni Academy.  Dr. Jessum is licensed by the California State Board of Psychology. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, and the Divisions of International Psychology and The Society for Environmental Population and Conservation Psychology. 

Dr. Jessum is a published scientific author and has experience in professional presentation, management consultation, and corporate health. She served two years as the Chairperson on the Board of Directors for Emperors College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California.

Dr. Jessum has also worked as a media psychologist, including a featured role on an international National Geographic project (see video clip below). Dr. Jessum has independently produced a variety of media projects, including an educational video for young children to facilitate the development of social and emotional intelligence.

In addition to being a Behavioral Medicine specialist, Dr. Jessum treats depression, anxiety, and mood instability, as well as issues related to relationships and addiction.  Dr. Jessum has also been a certified neurofeedback therapist since 1994.  She has a specialization in weight management and she is currently the program psychologist for the Center for Bariatric Surgery at West Hills Hospital.

Dr. Jessum also provides psychodiagnostic evaluations, including ADHD assessment, pre-surgical and neuropsychological screening, and psychoeducational and personality assessment.

Dr. Jessum incorporates an understanding of interpersonal neurobiology into all of her work, and currently studies with Dr. Daniel Seigel, through the Mindsight Institute, UCLA, and the Lifespan Learning Institute.  She is a member of The Global Association for Interpersonal Neurobiology Studies (GAINS).  Core values of the Center for Integrative Medicine include a strong emphasis on the strengthening of all spheres of relationships, including interpersonal, family, and community connectedness as a basis for optimal health and well-being.
