Biofeedback

Biofeedback is a method of treatment that uses monitors to feed back physiological information that you are not usually aware of. By simply watching images or listening to sounds, you can learn to control "involuntary" bodily processes such as brainwave and breathing activity.

Neurofeedback, or EEG biofeedback is a technique where real-time brain activity is monitored by electrical sensors on the scalp. The information is processed to provide feedback about itself, leading to more optimal states of regulation.  The optimal functioning brain and body are skilled at regulating a very complex system of actions and reactions. However, sometimes we can develop habitual patterns of dysregulation which can lead to psychological symptoms such as inattention, anxiety, obsession, mood instability, and addiction and well as chronic physical conditions such as recurrent headaches and high blood pressure.

Neurofeedback can be used to learn new habits to achieve better naturally regulated states even without our conscious understanding of how this occurs. For the user, the process is very simple and easy, All you have to do is try to focus and relax during the sessions.
